Mango Salsa Salad

This flavorful recipe combines sweet and savory for a tangy dish that can be a filling entree salad or a side dish for everyone at the table.


  • 1 very ripe mango
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce
  • Jalapeno slice
  • Red onion slice
  • 1/8 tsp chili powder
  • 1 lime
  • 1/2 large avocado
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Salt


  1. Dice mango, jalapeno, and red onion very finely. Mix in small bowl.
  2. Add chili powder and squeeze half of lime over the salsa mix - if time allows, chill for an hour or two to let flavors blend.
  3. Shred or chop lettuce and set in salad bowl. Once shredded, add mango salsa.
  4. Dice avocado and add to mixture.
  5. Drizzle with the olive oil and squeeze the other lime half over the salad.
  6. Add salt to taste. Serve
