Indian Rice

Looking to add some flavor and put some spice into your low protein rice? This twist to our classic fried rice features Indian spices that will make your mouth happy.


  • 2 oz. Loprofin rice
  • 1 tsp. Olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 small red onion-peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. Garam masala (Indian spice)


  1. Rinse the rice under cold water in a sieve, place in boiling water and cook for 9 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small frying pan, heat the oil then add the diced onion and garlic and sauté for 3 minutes. Add the garam masala and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  3. Rinse the rice with boiling water.
  4. Mix the onion and spices into the cooked rice.

Chef's Tip:

Add some cloves and cardamom seeds to the rice while boiling to prepare a more authentic dish. Remove before serving.
